Kyle Merritt graduated from Florida State University, Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. After graduation he went on to work as a personal trainer for several years assisting clients on living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Kyle attended Physician Assistant School at Barry University and graduated with Honors. While attending Barry, Kyle became a member of the Barry University Physician Assistant Student Association and was selected as the schools national representative to the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Kyle is a Certified Physician Assistant and scored in the top six percent on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam. He holds an active ACLS and PALS.
Kyle Merritt has been Dr. Okafor’s physician assistant since he graduated. Through his time working at the Spine Institute of Central Florida, Kyle has proven that he is an exceptionally skilled medical professional with a strong understanding of orthopaedic and spinal care. He has excellent bedside manners. Kyle remembers every patient by name and treats them as he would a close friend.
When Kyle is not helping patients he enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea who he met at Lakeland High School when they were juniors. He also is an avid golfer and crossfit athlete.
